Have You Been Born Again

According to the Bible unless you have been born again you cannot see or enter the Kingdom of God.

John 3:3: Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

The way to be born again is to receive Jesus.

John 1:12: But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

The word sons in the passage means a child of God. Becoming a child of God and becoming born again are two different ways to describe the same event. We become born again when we receive Jesus.

The water in John 3:5 is found again in John 4:10.

John 4:10: Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

We must be born of the spiritual water that is given by Jesus when we receive Him. When we are born of it we are baptized into it. And what is it that one who has not been born again cannot see or enter? The Kingdom of God.

Romans 14:17: For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

One who has not been born again cannot see or enter into God*s righteousness, he cannot see or enter into God*s peace and he cannot see or enter into the joy of the Holy Ghost. The most prominent thing in the kingdom that he cannot see is the KING! Jesus is the King.

John 14:6: Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

One who has not been born again cannot see or enter the Kingdom of God, he cannot see or enter the way to the Father, he cannot see or enter the truth of God and he cannot see or enter eternal life.

Romans 6:23: For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Jesus was paid the wages for our sin so when we receive Him we won*t have to pay them.

Romans 5:8: But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Although it is a free gift, it is a gift that will make those who receive it new creatures in Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:17: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Receiving Jesus is having one*s eyes opened to the King, His righteousness, His peace, His joy and His truth. Receiving Him is receiving Him as your Savior and King and entering His kingdom. If you have not received Him and become born again, you need to receive Him now, asking Him to make you what He wants you to be, and making your life what He wants it to be. We must enter His righteousness and live in it.

Matthew 13:13: Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. 15 For this people*s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. 16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
